Reclamation

PHOTO ILLUSTRATION

In the early 2020’s, we are starting to feel the effects of the breakdown of the industrial age in the U.S. The massive outsourcing to low cost countries, the resulting down-sizing in work force, the dot-com boom and bust where information began to surface as the new commodity in commerce, and the combination recession and financial crisis have taken their toll. While battling what is hopefully the final throes of a global pandemic, we find ourselves with severe inflation and major supply chain issues. Not surprising when so much comes from overseas. Fortunately, what went up in smoke, so to speak, is now being reclaimed, repurposed, and rebuilt to meet the needs of the future. As we pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off, there is still much to be done, but the gears are starting to turn again. Hopefully with less smoke; we don’t need the smoke.

Reclamation and The Making of a Clown appeared in the June 2021 issue of Living the Photo Artistic Life.
