Fever Dream

Disturbing dreams occur where you don’t know where you are but swear you’ve been before. Something’s not right. Water is rising. It’s kind of dark but somehow there are bright colors in the distance. Is that something moving over there? Am I being watched? All this stuff left behind looks familiar. This place is familiar now but it’s not safe anymore. There’s a loud noise. You wake up and realize you’ve had that dream many times before and each time it’s a little different, but the idea is the same. Everything is the same, but not.
