Fear of Falling Through

PHOTO ILLUSTRATION

Fear of Falling Through is based on a dream I had recently where there was no solid ground under me. Old memories went through my mind as I realized things are so different now, and everywhere I stepped there were openings where I could fall through into nothingness. There were also edges to fall off of, sharp spiky metal networks to fall into and get caught on. There was mist or smoke where I could not see clearly. There were strips of flowy fabric that kept trying to curl around my neck. It was beautiful and terrifying all at once. Getting older and going through a lot of physical stuff really messes with your head. I don’t recommend it, but it’s better than the alternative. And the dreams are scary.
