Eleventh Hour

The expression ‘eleventh hour’ refers to the last possible moment to do something. Have we reached the eleventh hour? Is it too late? There’s a crack in the wall. Steam is escaping, the paint is peeling, and natural things are occupying unnatural places, all above an unsuspecting landscape. It’s not that there were no warnings; it’s just that the warnings have not been heeded.
